Wednesday ended up as good as I thought it would. The fantastic designer Ida Lanto visited to take measurements and sort out last minute bits and bobs ahead of all events and galas. There are two this weekend in Cannes, one on Tuesday and the biggest one on Thursday. I’ll need to fly back and forth from the jet to the red carpet immediately because I am giving a lecture in Sweden beforehand which I couldn’t cancel because of the contract and I always think it’s fun anyway.
It was the first time I met Ida Lanto and oh my gosh she’s a lovely person. So warm, cozy and incredibly talented. We have a lot of fun ahead that we need to sew dresses for. There’s a ball in London in June.
Thursday’s…I really have to pinch myself in the arm this week. Four galas, Saturday and Thursday. All in Cannes for the festival.
A few of us have been working from home today as we’re moving offices on Sunday.
..And I made a film for Lyko!
I picked up the kids at four and dropped off Sally with Pingis. Pingis has booked a manicure at home and made pancakes, they had a cozy afternoon and early evening together. My kids have always loved Pingis, probably because she has always been herself with them and treated them as adults. Kids love that. Pingis has been a part of my kids’ lives ever since they were born (pushed their stroller in Spain when we visited our factory and I was sleep deprived). It’ll be amazing to get to know her daughter. I can’t wait until she is born. It’s beautiful to feel love for someone else’s child.
..While Sally was with Pingis, Gillis and I had dinner at Oaxen Slip. Lots of small plates to share. It was delicious.
We picked up Sally around half past six and went home. We’re off to Gothenburg tomorrow after work. I need to work early on Friday before everyone flies to Cannes from there. We’ve rented a bigger house so there is space for all nine of us. It’ll be a great weekend!
