Coffee for the connoisseur

In collaboration with Lavazza

Sweden is third place on the list of countries who drink the most coffee in the world. I’m definitely one of those people who are part of the consumption. I love coffee and having been drinking it since I was a teenager. It’s an important part of making my days work and because it’s so important I only drink coffee I actually like. The coffee you drank as a teeanger ”just because” isn’t usually particularly nice. What you do most of in life is what you should aim for, we can put thousands of kronor on one bed because we know sleep is important. I think more people should treat themselves to really good food, it’s actually a basic need for most people, just like sleep.

Today, the wine development has come far and we’re heading there with coffee too. I believe that you won’t just order a ”black cup of coffee” but you’ll get a whole menu with different beans and roasting degrees etc. Just like when you order wine at a restaurant today. I want my waiter at the restaurant to know just as much about coffee as they know about wine!

I’m so happy to have a collaboration with Lavazza. I love everything that adds a bit of luxury to my daily life and that is exactly what Lavazza do. It’s an Italian brand of luxury coffee and the fact that they now have ground coffee is incredible. That means everyone can treat themselves to luxury coffee and it’s really coffee for the connoisseur Here is where you can read more about their ground coffee and where to buy it.

Lavazza visited my home the other week to teach me more about coffee and I really understood how complicated it is. Coffee be described in the same way as wine, so in other words a bit sour, fruity, nutty, filling and berry-like. When it comes to coffee there are ca 800 taste aromas to talk about while there are only 400 in wine. I did a blind testing and realized certain kinds of coffee can even taste a bit like strawberry. So much fun fun.

I’ve learned that I like lightly roasted coffee, it’s often a bit sour and fresh. A good advice is to let the ground coffee sit for about an hour, and it’s better to brew less coffee each time. Lavazza’s new ground coffee Qualita Oro is my new favourite. I always have at least two cups in the morning.

I’ve made a deal with myself to never again have disgusting coffee, promise yourself that too! It’s so fantastic that Lavazza makes it possible!
