Sunday at Långängen

I struggled to keep my eyes open yesterday. My goal was to stay awake until 8PM and when it finally was, I crawled into bed while the rest of Sweden watched Melodifestivalen. I can’t remember the last time I was by myself in my own bed. I’ve been away two weeks, and before that I had the kids (they sleep with me) and before that I stayed at Hotel Diplomat. It was wonderful to take up all the space in the middle and spread out on the crisp sheets.

I slept for 12 hours. How crazy is that! I’m back to Swedish time now so I needed it. I had a quiet morning with breakfast and work from bed and then I met up with Michaela. We haven’t seen each other foe ages so I drove there around 11AM. Visiting my old neighbourhood felt a bit a special. My first emotion was sadness because of stalker memories. It gave me shivers. Michaela and I walked to Långängen for a long lunch and several cups of coffee. It was so cozy.

It’s such a luxury to spend hours with your friends and just chat. We have a company idea for Nordic Tech House so we talked about that a lot too. So much fun! My entreprenur gene kicks in whenever I talk about the companies and I get butterflies in my whole body. It might be a similar feeling to having a crush but what do I know? I get the same feeling when Pingis and I are sitting in the Emirates Lounge at 5.15AM while talking about the companies over breakfast. Even if it’s really early I still get that same rush of joy.

Justina just arrived to do my manicure and pedicure, I need to get ready for a new work week. Lots of fun meetings (a lot to do after Australia and China) and a trip to France. I’m not completely prepared for everything so tonight I’m going to make dinner and catch up on work. I’m really looking forward to it. I’ve missed my work evenings at home with peace and quiet. Other than preparing work, I also get a chance to do something about all the inspiration from the trips and turn them into something concrete, set new goals and visions. I always walk into the office with a lightbulb over my head and say ”I have an idea..” or several.

I’ll talk to you later!
