After I picked up the kids today, we had dinner together. Lovisa and Ida had brought home a lot of different cheeses, so the kids had a cheese tasting evening. Lots of fun. Parmesan won and I agree that it’s the best one. Afterwards we took a bath and then went to the upstairs TV-room to watch a movie. We usually move all the pillows from one side of the sofa because then all three of us fit in a row and it’s very cozy. I usually put my phone away in the evenings before they fall asleep (if I don’t need to be on standby to make decisions but that can usually wait until after eight). It’s so wonderful to lie down close to the kids and watch a movie of their choice. Today we watched Masha’s tales. It’s very relaxing and I usually try to breathe deeply from my stomach. It’s easy to forget that during the day.
Because it’s just the three of us, the kids often get to fall asleep in my bed. It’s become important for me to ”recharge the soul” with the kids because we spend time away from each other. I’ve been living by myself (without a man) for two years. Time goes so quickly. I know I go on about it, but you know I always think about things I’m grateful for before I go to sleep. Having the financial ability to live like this by myself, have my own bedroom that’s just mine and never have to compromise with a partner is wonderful. It’s on my gratefulness list each night.
Now I’m going to have a cup of tea and read a book!
