Saturday at Home

Even though O and I have been separated for nearly two years, and I’ve had the kids part-time, I still get a bit of a shock when I realise I have the weekend to myself. Being able to sleep-in. Just one of those things! When I went downstairs to the kitchen I started the day with a shot of ginger and lemon which was prepared by Matilda.

…A good thing to have in the fridge.

After that I put on my sneakers and jogged around the water. It’s so beautiful here on Lidingö  and I have to pinch myself to realise that this is mine and the kids’ home. Even though it’s my hard-earned money that made me able to get this far. Four purchased apartments, one house and now this. Plus hundreds of sublet-apartments before and lodging in a student apartment at Lappkärsberget. Me, Nils and his friend from University. There was hardly any room 🙂

I have my own avenue from the road but I usually drive around and  use another road because then the cars can use the main entrance (my hybrid is charged there). Perfect for all the guests.

When I got back I made omelette with turmeric for brunch (I have lots of healthy spices when there’s illnesses going around) and then I drew myself a bath with a lot of oils in. My skin is so dry. Emelie noticed my skin was really dried so I had a home-spa. Face mask from Drunk Elephant with high levels of acids (can’t be sold in Sweden) and then I used my serum, the mask Sleeping sensation plus a sheet mask from Esteé Lauder. Super-cure! After that I went back to bed and I’ve also had time to work.

I’m so in love with my ceramic-woman Michaela made for me. I asked her if it’s possible to make a big one to have home. She was going to look at the possibilities. It’s a luxury to have a friend who is an artist.

The rest of the day is totally unplanned. I want to go around in my comfiest clothes, without a bra, have delicious leftovers from the fridge and not leave the house. I’m in London, NYC,  Åre and Marbella just in January (all trips are work related) so I’m going to have time to be cosy around the house 🙂
