Today Gillis invited his closest friends and their siblings to celebrate his 5th birthday. Gillis got to pick where to celebrate and he chose Bounce. The kids were jumping for an hour, then they had pizza and cake. Today’s highlight were the two young girls who were their play-leaders, they ran the whole party and the girls were amzing. Fantastic recruitment by bounce. We’re so happy with the party and in the car on the way home Sally said she also wanted her party there.
After the party we had dinner at our regular place Agnes at Kungsholmen. Pasta and Ice-cream for all four of us. A good finish to a lovely Sunday. Gillis had trouble falling asleep when he got home, it’s his actual birthday tomorrow.
Here I am five years later. It’s so awesome to give birth. I loved it. I chose to have the anaesthetics so I didn’t think it hurt as much as people told me it would. At the same time I had two relatively easy and quick labours so I had my energy left. With Gillis I pushed on all four but gave birth to him sideways, I remember I was so kkeen to not burst and they told me it was the least painful on the side. But with Sally I was standing on all four and pulled her out myself (and dropped her…) I didn’t get any tears either way so it probably doesn’t have anything to do with it. The first breasfeeding was the most painful I’ve had. Ugh! But Icarried on with a breastfeeding dummy (one in a yellow package) that I kept for five months and that’s how it worked.
Anyway, seeing Gillis face for the first time is the biggest event of my life.. It knocked me sideways completely with love. Today he is five years old. Crazy! I’m going downstairs to sort out all the presents and other things before tomorrow. I don’t have my first meeting until 10 so we have a quiet birthday morning together.
