Here are the photos from today:
Waking up like this is lovely. We have a double bed in the villa and then two smaller beds (you can see Gillis in the photo). The villa is on the water and we have glass floor in some parts of the house. I think it’s a bit scary to walk on that. Especially in the dark.
Cosy-times after breakfast.
We decided to skip swimming today and visited Legoland instead! We played for hours and I can really recommend visiting the park. My only complaint is the really strict rules. Sally missed out on 0,5 cm (!) to go on ride where the restriction was 105 cm and normally I’m able to convince or bribe my way through (if you only knew how far you get with a bit of cash in hand) but I couldn’t here. I was a bit annoyed about it but decided to let it go. There was a lot of things to do. The favourite was a 4D cinema with Ninjago. On the way home Gillis bought a bunch of Ninjago lego which he is looking forward to assembling.
After that we visited Souk Madinat. Sally bought more shoes. It was so beautiful there! We had dinner at the hotel (six restaurants to choose from), we had arabic and Indian food. Delicious and easy when you are a vegetarian. I realised this is my first holiday in the sun without alcohol and I haven’t even thought about that. Usually I’ve had a glass of wine for lunch and one for dinner, all week. It’s so liberating to not drink. I sleep better on vacation and I have more energy. I really can’t see myself ever going back to alcohol again. That and deciding to skip meat has been some of my best life decisions.
