Our days over here are pretty slow. We’ve been hanging out at the hotel and spent the day swimming. Half the time in the pool and then in the sea. Yesterday vi visited Dubai Mall to buy toys. I told the kids they could choose whatever they wanted in the shop. We were probably there for an hour and tried all sorts. Gillis bought a robot and Sally a doll with a lot of accessories. Then she had a kid’s manicure that’s easily removed with soap (Gillis didn’t wanted it so he went with Hampus to try robots) and then we bought heels and earrings. Sally thinks it’s so much fun to look like her mom.
I could talk about gender roles and how Sally is affected by ideals but I don’t want to right now. The kids are playing and I want to update you guys and go through my emails in as short a time as possible. I want to join in on the kids game 🙂
Swimsuit Ia Bon, scarf Hermes.
Our lunch restaurant, although we had lunch around half past three because we got up at 11 and had a late breakfast. Holidays.
Oh my god, they’re growing so quickly!
I LOVED the coat and the shoes! Sally loves shopping clothes. She was in heaven yesterday,
Their supply of dolls….
We had a late dinner at Cheesecake factory at Dubai Mall, I ordered a carrot cake for desert and I almost cried because it was so good. The cheesecake with nutella and the cheesecake with toffee sauce was also really good. That’s been our first two days here. We want to visit Legoland and Jurassic Park. Has anyone been there with kids? Can you suggest anymore activities with children?
By the way, I got a question if Hayley is with us and she isn’t. She was going with us to Australia but because the launch was postponed we’ve also postponed the journey (Pingis and Hannah are there) so I decided to go to Dubai over fall break instead with the kids and Hampus. It’s the first trip for all four of us and it’s very cosy. I love my home-team but it’s important to have alone time together as well.
