Our planning didn’t quite work out yesterday. One of us got stuck in security for an hour and then we got stuck in traffic for two hours on the way to Manhattan so our original plan to check in at Mandarin, shower and get ready wasn’t going to happen. We asked the taxi driver to stop so Emelie could get the makeup bag out and help me get ready on the way. I was so impressed by her, doing one evening’s makeup on a bumpy taxi journey when it’s dark outside isn’t easy but she pulled it off. Like I said before; best team ever.
We arrived hotel Omar at Vauclouse at 7.20PM. The guests were arriving 10 minutes later. We borrowed the toilets, Emelie used the hair straighteners, Sascha steamed the clothes and I changed. So stressful. Eight minutes later, I was ready to greet all the guests and spoke to everyone until 10PM. Phew! It was lovely and I was filled with joy. What a start for Löwengrip. Can you imagine that you can now buy Löwengrip at Amazon in USA.
